🍖 What Did T-Rex Eat?

T-Rex was a carnivore — it ate meat! It hunted large plant-eating dinosaurs like Triceratops and Edmontosaurus. Scientists think it may have also eaten animals that were already dead (called scavenging). With teeth the size of bananas and the strongest bite of any land animal ever, T-Rex could crunch through bone like a snack!

📏 How Big Was T-Rex?

T-Rex was enormous! It could grow up to 40 feet long — that's about as long as a school bus — and stood 12–13 feet tall at the hips. It weighed up to 9 tons, which is heavier than an elephant. Despite those tiny arms, its massive head could be over 5 feet long all by itself!

📅 When Did T-Rex Live?

T-Rex lived during the Late Cretaceous Period, about 68 to 66 million years ago. That's long before any humans existed! It roamed what is now North America — places like Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. T-Rex was one of the very last non-bird dinosaurs to walk the Earth before the big asteroid hit and most dinosaurs went extinct.
